Tony Carrier

Tony was born and raised in Bristol, ct. attending ST. Anthony’s grammar school and Bristol Central High School graduating in 1967. He furthered his education by  attending Southern CT. State University where he received his B.S. M.S. and his 6th year in Physical Education and Health graduating in 1972. He began his teaching career in Bristol in 1973 and retired in 2010. Tony also coached in Bristol for 38 years 31 being at Bristol Central. Tony was honored by the Bristol Tramps receiving the Bill Garrett award in 2006. He was also selected into the Bristol Sports Hall of Fame in 2011. In 2007 he received the Ralph Papazian Award by the First Bristol Federal Credit Union. He was also honored by the Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaching Association and the Connecticut High School Coaches Association receiving Coach of the Year from both organizations in Girls Soccer. In 2008 he received Girls Coach of the Year for Connecticut Large School by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Adidas. Tony has been a member of the Bristol Tramps since 2005 and was elected vice chairman in 2013. Tony also serves on the Selection Committee. Tony and his wife Jackie have been married for 43 years. They have two children Christina and Michael and two beautiful grandchildren Addison and Katelyn.
