Dan joined the Tramps in 2004.  He has been a volunteer for various organizations such as Bristol Midget Football during the late 80’s serving as Player Agent and Assistant Coach.  He coached at McCabe-Waters Little League, following his son from T-ball through the Majors.  When his son left in 1997 he stayed on as Manager and also served on the Board of Directors as Baseball Representative and Equipment Manager.  He was on the coaching staff for various All-Star teams, finally leaving the organization in 2003.  From there he went to the Bristol Challenger Baseball and Discovery Challenger Basketball Programs.  He’s worked at the Eastern Regionals, first as an Uncle from 1996-2000, then moving to the Snack Shack.  He was the recipient of the Bristol Tramps Committee Award in 2013.  The award has since been changed to the “Coach Dan Valerio Committee Award” in honor of his father who passed in 2016.
