Beth Lafferty

Beth Kauke Lafferty, a 1984 graduate of Bristol Eastern High school was a four-sport athlete playing volleyball, basketball, track and softball. She was All-Conference in volleyball, track and basketball while Honorable Mention All-State in the latter. The volleyball team she played on were state runners-up in 1983 and the school’s basketball team won the state title in 1983. She earned a scholarship to play basketball at the University of New Haven where her team won the Division II National Championship in 1987. She also played softball and tennis at the University of New Haven as a 1988 graduate. She was selected to the New England Collegiate Conference team for softball in 1987. She ended up with a .299 career batting average at New Haven and was among the all-time leaders in doubles and triples. She won softball team MVP honors in 1987 while batting .319. Beth lives in Southington with her husband Gregg and two sons Jake and Brady. She is a middle school math teacher at Northeast Middle School in Bristol.
