The Ron Choiniere Award
Ron participated and excelled in track, gymnastics, swimming and bowling. He participated in the Soapbox Derby for years and had a car sponsored in the Special Division. Ron attended Bristol Central High School, where he earned a varsity letter and jacket for the most dedicated manager and fan for the wrestling team. Ron received the Bill Garret Award in 1992 for his contributions to sports. “He was a competitor and fighter all his life. He never did anything unless it was his best”, quotes Jerry Carpenter.
