The William “Bill” A. Garrett Award

William GarrettBill Garrett, sports writer and newsman, introduced the sports column to Bristol readers. He left Bristol to take on a job in Washington, DC, but before leaving, he served in many civic activities. Mr. Garrett was a business manager and publicist for a number of Bristol athletic teams in the 1930’s and 40’s.  The individual nominated must be involved in atheltics as a sponsor of sporting activities, volunteerism or service to the sports and community.
